Director of Sales

Department Mission
  • To build an effective long-term relationship with the customers and perform sets of sales activities to help the organization run effectively, efficiently, and in support of business strategies and objectives.
Role
  • The role of the Sales Director is to build, lead, and scale a talented team of sales managers while instilling the positive and unique values of company culture. In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally with marketing, sales operations, and customer success to drive the business. This role will be to refine and improve current sales objectives and help design new go-to-market strategies by leveraging metrics and analyzing trends in the business.
Authority
  • Build, lead and instill team of talented sales managers
  • Maintain sales playbook
  • Set department objectives and principles
  • Run performance management and feedbacks sessions
  • Set strategies and initiate workstreams around projects
Responsibility
  • Lead a remarkable team, focused on solving customer challenges to deliver significant value to an extensive number of SMB organizations
  • Directly manage and develop first-line Managers enabling them to effectively coach and grow Account Executives on their teams
  • Attract and develop top talent who bring a unique perspective , through best in class recruiting, on boarding, and training methodologies in tandem with our People Management team
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets by acquiring new customers and expanding on those relationships by delivering a delightful experience at all times
  • Refine the acquisition playbook for lead generation, pipeline management, closing, and forecasting to drive best-in-class conversion against demand
  • Work closely and collaborate cross-functionally (marketing, sales operations, customer success, product)
  • Help design and rollout Go To Market strategy by combining your experienced perspective with our data-led decision-making approach
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in business or related study field
  • 10+ years of professional experience in sales and business development
  • Previous experience working in software, IT and/or SaaS industries
  • Solid knowledge of customer values, needs, and goals to design processes solving for customers first
  • Provide offers, sales promotions, and campaigns
  • Experience creating an inclusive team environment that fosters trust and a sense of empowerment
  • Proven track record of overachieving sales targets in a high velocity, high growth business focused on SMB
  • Excellent communication skills
